These spaces support a variety of activities, from cooking and entertaining to workshops and team-team-buidling events, while creating harmony with the natural surroundings. They are especially relevant for landscape architects or clients looking to incorporate practical and attractive outdoor cooking solutions into their projects.

Multi-purpose outdoor kitchen in Douglas wood

This outdoor wooden kitchen is a bespoke design made from durable Douglas wood, ideal for year-round use in the garden or on a terrace. Designed for cooking and storage, it combines practical features with a natural look. On the right side, there is generous storage space to hide the usual garden stuff. On the left, the cooking area is equipped with a BBQ, a plancha, and space for a mobile pizza oven.

The kitchen was designed and built in collaboration with the customer in a participatory way, making the project both educational and personal. We reused some wooden boards and cooking appliances the customer already had, giving them a new life while reducing waste. The customer took an active role in the construction, working with reclaimed materials and learning practical building techniques along the way.

The customer, Alexis, now enjoys garden cocktail parties, family barbecues, and pizza nights in his versatile outdoor cooking space.

Roundwood open kitchen with cob oven

This outdoor kitchen space combines natural materials, traditional joinery techniques, and an open design. On the left is a pizza and bread oven built from clay, sand, straw, bricks, and wood. The oven was built in one of our participatory workshops. The multifunctional kitchen, located in the middle of a herbal garden with more than 600 plant varieties, is designed as a workshop space, to host pizza nights, bread-baking classes, or community cooking events.

The shed’s structure is made from round timber, giving the space an organic character. The foundation was built using traditional Japanese carpentry techniques without concrete, ensuring a low-carbon durable base. Above, a vegetalised green roof provides moist-retention, blends the structure into the surrounding landscape, and supports local biodiversity.

The customer offers tea-, pizza-, and bread-making workshops, making the space a place for both learning and sharing. The customer also uses the structure to dry plants for her herbal infusions prepared on site.

Outdoor Kitchen and Workshop Space for Business Events

This outdoor workshop space is designed for business events combining work, relaxation, and team-building activities. It is ideal for cooking events, including fondue or pizza prepared with a cob oven, and is also used for creative workshops. Set in a natural environment, the space provides a calm and inspiring setting that encourages connection and collaboration.

The space includes practical features such as storage for equipment, a sink, and designated areas for cutlery, plates, and utensils, making it easy to host events smoothly. The structure is built in Douglas wood with inclined poles for stability and style. A transparent tarp system allows the space to be partially or fully opened on sunny days or closed when it is raining or windy. This flexibility makes it possible to enjoy an outdoor setting in all weather conditions.

Located in an oasis within a business park, the workshop brings people closer to nature during their professional gatherings.

Surrounded by a vegetable garden and a natural pond, the environment offers a refreshing contrast to office interiors. Even during bad weather, participants can stay connected to nature being staying sheltered.
